Autumn Fashion: How to style your tech

Autumn Fashion: How to style your tech

Having been already over a year since most of us have been told to work from home, we’ve all set aside a space dedicated to our work lives whether it's the breakfast table, living room or if you're anything like us, the couch.

Let’s be real, a mouse, keyboard and laptop on your desk can become pretty boring as time goes by especially if you’re using last month’s fashion magazine as a mouse pad, or your laptop stand is an old stack of containers that you thought went missing while doing your meal prep. Let's not get our words twisted - our desk is already decorated with a photo of the loved ones and the fur baby to keep us going through the day, but if there’s anything else the desk needs, it's a bit of pizazz.

So, let’s get your tech dressed for a night on the town because we’re about to show you some ways to personalise your desk and devices this Autumn with our five leather favourites.

Satechi Eco Leather Deskmate

It’s a no brainer that the Satechi Eco Leather Deskmate is in our top five. As one of our best-selling mats, this is perfect for protecting the desk from scratches and scuffs. Not only does this mat turn your desk into an elegant workspace, you get the extra touch of class with its stitched edges on all four sides. With a multitude of uses as a mouse pad, desk protector and even an eating mat (we’re certainly guilty of it) there’s no doubt that the Satechi Eco Leather Deskmate would be a ‘zoom-stopper’ on your desk.

The mat offers a generous 58.4cm x 40cm so there's quite a bit of coverage, and enough room for a mouse, keyboard and a notepad. With the underside being made from polyurethane leather, there is no need to worry about staining the desk either. It’s available in Blue, Black and Brown so you’re able to grab one to suit the home and the office.

Nomad Laptop Sleeve

If you’re one to keep your laptop with you on the go, then the Nomad Leather Sleeve for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air is the accessory you just can’t ‘sleeve’ alone. Made for the minimalist, Nomad’s Leather Sleeve is designed as a slim protective sleeve that can be used daily to protect your aluminium unibody while commuting to and from. Made with Brown Horween Leather from the USA, the Nomad Leather Sleeve develops a rugged patina over time giving your laptop sleeve a unique design. Designed with travelling in mind, this sleeve features a strong magnetic closure and reinforced stitching to keep it safe and snug – or, if you’re using the sleeve to store the laptop, there’s even USB-C port access to keep the battery full. If you’re not one to like hard shells and always-on cases, then the sleeve is the one for you. Available in two sizes, for the MacBook Air & Pro 13” and MacBook Pro 16”.

EFM Dual Wireless Charger Leather

EFM’s 15w Dual Charge Pad is a two-part construction featuring a genuine leather shell over the charging coils hugged by a premium aluminium trim. With four 15w coils, you’re able to simultaneously charge two Qi-enabled smartphones without any interference. This is the perfect solution for the bedside table, desk or even a great charging solution for anyone on the go. Our favourite perk – a bonus USB-C cable and 30w Wall Charger (yes, a wall charger 😆) are included.

Bellroy iPhone 12 & 12 Pro Case

If we’re talking style, we’re talking Bellroy’s Genuine Leather Case. A super slim phone case with nothing but class to offer. This minimal phone case sets a statement for your iPhone with its premium, environmentally certified leather that ages well with time which means it’ll only get better as the time goes by. With a polymer bumper allowing the leather to wrap your phone snug, you wouldn’t even notice your iPhone had a case. And, if you’re still not convinced why this Bellroy case has landed in our top five leather favourites, it’s MagSafe compatible and available in seven different colours (for those that need to match your accessories to your outfit).

Twelve South BookBook for iPad

We get it, your iPad Pro is already a gorgeous device though, if there’s one thing we’re all guilty doing with our iPad – it’s throwing it in the bag and heading out. Twelve South has your back, or your iPad in this case (no pun intended). A hardback leather folio that carries your iPad, Apple Pencil, cables and any other documents on the go to free up your hands. All of this kept safe and enclosed with a dual zipper which can be left open at the bottom for the charging cable if required. A crushless spine allows for full protection whether you’re carrying your BookBook or it’s in the bag and if you’re using it on the go, the stand can fold into a sketch pad or a viewing stand, perfect for Netfl.. ahem Zoom. Available for the iPad Pro 11” and iPad Pro 12.9”
